The LS RANCHThis photo was taken by a photographer for the Texas Dept. of Transportation during the Trail Drive that we recreated in the Fort Worth Stockyards in 1981. The Texas Historical Commission selected the photo approximately ten years later from archives to depict a late 1800's "Trail Boss" on the front cover of the Texas Heritage Trail Program Travel Guide, "The CHISHOLM TRAIL". Welcome to the LS Ranch and our little bit of TEXAS!We hope you will drop by for a visit while you are enjoying the many treasures and pleasures to be found in Historic Limestone County
There is no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted to maintain the herd and to keep the property in good shape for our guests.
A small pail of cow candy (range cubes) is available for purchase at a small fee to cover cost for those who would like to feed the Longhorns.
The LS Ranch is located 3 miles East of Groesbeck on the North side of Hwy 164.
Reservations are not required, but a call ahead will alert the cattle to be close by when you arrive for a visit. Always available for viewing are the hummingbirds that visit LS Ranch between April and October of each year. Ranch guests are invited to sit on the deck and watch these little winged wizards as they joust and parry for positions at the feeders.
